Indian institute of tropical metrology pune is a premiere institute for preparing scientist from different back ground in exciting field of climate research and weather forecasting.

I had gate rank 548 and was called for the interview based on the gate score. And so were 320 students. And then additional 100 students for a total of 420.first thing first, i didn’t get into it.

AROUND INDIA IN 30 DAYS

          

Gate results were up and now were the time for all India darshan of puniya IITS and ask for moksh. As the entire institutes were located in far-flung places in India long planning was required.

CIVIL NON CONVENTIONAL BRANCHES

I am giving here some ideas of non conventional courses of civil. There are possibly hundreds of combinations available, but I give here only those I came to know about. As these were the responses of those studying and I don’t vouch for it as it may also be biased.

Disclaimer: i personally had avoided IIT Bombay due to a hell of diahorrea. However my friends had narrated their experiences.

Rated the best civil engineering college in India by world’s most trusted ranking system, IIT Bombay was the hot favourite for all top rankers. The system of admission is 70% gate and 30 % written test /and interview. However my personal opinion is as high as 10% is given to first preference and interview performance is also very much valued. Need proof.OBC guy with rank about 350 had structures in IIT Bombay where about 40 people where above him in same category. However he had prepared like hell. It all boils down to GATE score suited first preference and heavy interview.

IIT DELHI INTERVIEW EXPERIENCES

IIT Delhi is the one of the IIT which has place advantage. Being in capital means you can virtually go anywhere and not being a campus oriented means you are very much linked to the outer world.

I went there and noticed that there were not any individual cycles except the cycle rickshaws. It had a comparatively small campus, with almost everything concentrated to one main gigantic building.

Any way here also i didn’t get any course. I was called for environmental and water resources interview. Unlike IIT Bombay and Kanpur here there is not much focus on interview. There is no rigorous drilling compared to Bombay and Kanpur. The primary thing is the GATE score and to avoid the nonsense that I had done.
