finally,after going through much interview process,i got in place i had never bothered to see as a feasible option-IIT KGP. With 548 rank and 583 gate score i got transportation engineering in iit kgp,environmental in iit kanpur,water resource in first waitlist upgradation(which could have actually been upgraded to geo,transpo),nothing in iit delhi(reasons mentioned in iit delhi post).
                    Never thought to be an iitian,it was a dream come true,but i also had pain of not getting madras in any branch sice it was close to my heart.however subsequently i learnt that iit kgp was famous for the pavement,like iit bombay for traffic.Prof K.S.Reddy,Pandey Sirs are considered to be the GOD in pavement materials IRC code developers.actually many of the M.tech works have set standard in IRC and is followed whole india has its origins from IIT KGP.
                    So unexpectedly i got the best branch the civil department can offer in IIT KGP as rest of branch such as structures or geotech in KGP have not that much impact compared to transportation among all iits.Thank GOD for HIS grace.
